One Hundred Flowers Panoramic

Caja de 16 Notecards con sobre.

Pomergranate

Painted during the Ming dynasty, with collector marks dating to the 15th century, the work depicted here is an exquisite example of a traditional Chinese scroll-painting genre known as the One Hundred Flowers. This set contains horizontal-format cards decorated with four detail views from the scroll, each with a variety of blossoms: rose, chrysanthemum, morning glory, and balsam; St. John's wort, peony, and poppy; narcissus and chrysanthemum; and rose, peach, and daphne. These long notecards (9 1/4 x 4 inches, opening to 9 1/4 x 8 inches) offer a unique format for sending lengthy sentences, landscape sketches, or panoramic photos. They are presented with white envelopes in a colorfully printed keepsake box that makes an excellent place to store pencils and paintbrushes.
